Dental health — home learning lessons on keeping teeth healthy

 

This home learning pack helps pupils to understand the importance of maintaining their dental health and establishing oral hygiene routines such as brushing and flossing.

The key stage 1 lesson explores the importance of establishing and maintaining routines that support good oral hygiene, while the key stage 2 lesson supports pupils to reflect on everyday actions that can affect their teeth.

These lessons help pupils to:

  • Understand how to keep teeth healthy and describe good oral hygiene routines
  • Identify the impact of diet and other everyday actions on teeth
  • Explain how to access dental services and the importance of regular check-ups
