We will be inviting Nursery parents to a number of different workshops over the school year. We would like to share advice and ideas to help support children at home and at school. We will be providing information that we think you will find useful but we also want to know what you would like to find out more about too. So, if you have any questions or ideas about topics you would like to be covered in each workshop then please let us know and we can tailor the support and information to whatever you need.
Our first workshop was on Thursday 28th September and we focused on developing independence, reading and writing with your child and the importance of toilet training. Please click on the links below to access leaflets and information. The nursery also have a range of stories and information books about toilet training that you are most welcome to borrow - please just ask the nursery staff and they will share them with you. We have held another workshop in January and had a focus on developing fine motor skills and helping children with early writing and mark making skills. We have also added some information which will give you lots of ideas to help you build up your child's muscle strength in their hands which will in turn support their writing skills.
