OFSTED

On the 3rd July 2018 Ofsted visited Coley Primary School and confirmed that we continue to be a GOOD school!

Please see the letter that we were sent following the inspection.

A message from our Chair of Governors

As the Chair of the Governing Body at Coley Primary School, it gives me much pleasure to be able to share with you the report from OfSTED’s recent inspection.

I was pleased to see that the inspector recognised how happy the pupils at Coley Primary School are, and there are three points within the report I think are worth drawing your attention to.

The first is the “unwavering aim” amongst all those involved in Coley Primary School to ensure that what we do at Coley is the right thing for our pupils. We recognise that your children will have only one opportunity to go through their primary education and we try to make sure that it will help them in whatever future they have, and I am pleased that this has been acknowledged.

The second is that our core values operate at all levels within the school, from those on the Senior Leadership Team, through to those who work directly with pupils in classrooms and those who support the pupils at play. I am sure you will join me in thanking the staff and volunteers at Coley Primary School for all the work that they do with our pupils.

The third element is the pride that the pupils themselves show in their school, and in their community. When I visit the school the pupils are always keen to demonstrate their knowledge and the inspector was rightly impressed by their attitude to school.

I am sure you will agree that this is a positive report for Coley Primary School, and for me, demonstrates that when the school, the pupils and their families work together then pupils are able to flourish, and we look forward to continuing this partnership with you.

Yours sincerely,

Matt Espley
